Hands age in a very unique and predictable way. As we age, we observe decreased collagen production and volume loss in the back of the hands. Veins appear more visible and tendons are more pronounced. The overlying skin becomes thinner and wrinkled. Dark pigmentations (also called liver spots) and uneven skin color can add more years to the already aging hands.
Volume loss is corrected with the use of Radiesse, the only dermal filler FDA-approved for hand rejuvenation. The procedure is quick, non-painful, and the results are visible immediately.
For skin improvement, Dr DeJuliis uses laser light or chemical peels, depending on the patient’s need and preference. Periodic medical microdermabrasion, with our certified skin assistant, ensures that your hand rejuvenation will continue to improve over time.
